Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She is a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and CEO of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington, an independently-owned liberal news website has a TV personality, author, and an philanthropist. When she moved to England from Greece at the age of 16 and obtaining an MA with a major in Economics from Cambridge University. She was the first person who was not from the UK to be elected the president of The Cambridge Union at the age 21. In the years following the graduation ceremony, she was a prominent right-wing syndicated reporter. A few more years later, she founded The Huffington Post which featured criticism of the present political landscape. The fame of her name helped to get a number of prominent contributors to publish their thoughts on news, politics, and other topics. Arianna gained notoriety in 2003, when she ran as an independent in California recall elections in order to replace Governor Davis. Alongside that, she led the Detroit initiative that promoted fuel efficient vehicles. She was named The Most Influential Women in Media by Forbes in 2009 and was awarded the 12th place in the list. The same year, the Guardian included her in the 100 most influential media on their list. In 2011, AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post and made her the head of the media unit, which comprised of many existing AOL properties, including Engadget AOL music Style list and Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos is a daughter of Konstantinos an advisor to management and a journalist. Though she shared a close relationship with both her father and mother, it was their bond that shaped her. Through her early years, she exhibited the qualities of a leader for which are still prominently known. When she was 16 she relocated to the United Kingdom to pursue her studies and enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. In the time of her studies she was a member of the Cambridge Union debating group where she was elected the first woman president, and also the only president from outside the country. She graduated in 1972 with the degree of Master in Economics. Her professional career as an anchor and reporter started after her graduation. In addition, along with Bernard Levin she appeared on an episode of Face the music.
