Amy Smart has been a actor, model and a former American. Her modeling career started in Italy, where she was raised before being born in California. She began her acting career in the year 1996 with the TV production Her Costly Affair. Then, in a small role in the movie Starship Troopers she struggled very hard. Amy was unable to make the transition from modeling to acting, as model actors aren't generally considered good actors. They are usually given smaller or unimportant roles. Amy had a determination to be successful and she eventually landed larger roles beginning with The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. Amy then stepped into lead roles in the 2005 romantic comedy film Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy received the recognition she had been chasing more than a decade. She continued to do major films, such as Crank alongside Jason Statham or Shameless in which she was a beloved regular role.
