Amy Smart has been a model, actress and a former American. Growing up and being raised in California USA she started her modelling professional career in Italy. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film that she played her first part in, was her debut performance. It took some time to get her into Starship Troopers in a smaller character. It was difficult for her to make the transition from modeling to acting since the models were never thought of as actors, and they were usually granted smaller, insignificant roles. Amy was determined to keep trying. She made her way to bigger roles. She began in The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. The 2005 romantic comedy Just Friends, which also featured Ryan Reynolds, saw her take on larger role. Amy found her recognition after more than 10 years of trying. She continued with important films, including the Crank series with Jason Statham and the series Shameless where she played the well-loved character of recurring.
